Organisms is an exhibition of art, architecture, design, photography and food that connects Art Nouveau with the contemporary. It proposes a new vision of rpossible relations between the organic outlook of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century and bio-centric visions today. The first part is dedicated to Art Nouveau starring the visionary Emile Galle , where exquisite vases and furniture are displayed and even the drawings of architect Liberty Raimondo d’Aronco and those of a scientific nature by Santiago Ramon y Cajal, he who discovered the neuron. Our time is represented by the works of the French artist Pierre Huyghe , who has in recent years created real ecosystems as works of contemporary art, as well as by botanist Patrick Blanc, inventor of the “green walls”, and the architect Mario Cucinella, whose vision of ecological and sustainable architecture is based on the principle that every building must empathize with the climate and the culture that houses it. The exhibition ends with rare documents relating to the history of the Slow Food movement.
