MAXXI

MAXXI – National Museum of XXI Century Arts is a museum of contemporary art, was designed by architect Zaha Hadid and is managed by the homonymous foundation of the Ministry of Heritage and Culturali.Il museum is divided into two main areas , MAXXI art and MAXXI architecture, whose permanent collections are increased either by direct acquisition of works and projects either through purchasing, thematic competitions and donations. In the Flaminio district within the area of Montello barracks the Anglo-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid, chosen from 273 applicants from all over the world, designed the MAXXI, the National Museum for the Arts of the XXI century.
