Built during the Universal Exhibition of 1900, Le Train Bleu was called the buffet restaurant of La Gare de Lyon (Lyon train station). Degraded and renewed over the years, the restaurant was classified as an historic monument in 1972. Many personalities such as Francois Mitterrand, Brigitte Bardot and Jean-Paul Sartre were conquered by the magic feel of this place, by its paintings, its cuisine and its unique atmosphere. The menu changes twice a year and every week it offers dishes suggested by the Chef, so-called Le Marche du Chef.
