The Kalumet opened its doors in the early ’50s on a pile of the wharf of Milano Marittima, however a fire destroyed the original building, in 2009. The restaurant had to move to the city, becoming Kalumet In Centro: the new and fascinating environment pays great attention to details. Food, wine and service are of the highest level, and fish comes only from the best parts of the Adriatic. The raw seafood is left at its natural flavour, while cooked fish are always moist and their colour intact. The desserts are all homemade along with the bread, breadsticks and biscuits. The cellar holds more than 500 labels of white wine and champagne, accompanied by an excellent selection of red wines, soterne, mold, port and sherry and the unobtainable Cognac Grand Champagne Reserve du Fondador Tesseron Abel, aged 150 years.
