IL RINASCIMENTO DI GAUDENZIO FERRARI 24/03/2018 – 01/07/2018

This exhibition delves further into the greatness of a painter with a simple and theatrical language, able to convey a religious message with unmistakable style, leaving the most important section of his artwork in Piedmont. The most significant works by Gaudenzio Ferrari are located in Vercelli, Novara and Varallo, in the Sacro Monte in particular. The exhibition will take place from March to July 2018. The Renaissance of Gaudenzio Ferrari is a project promoted and supported by the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Region of Piedmont. The project has also received support from the Compagnia di San Paolo, the Fondazione CRT and the Fondazione Cariplo, in partnership with Intesa Sanpaolo and the organisation of Associazione Abbonamento Musei.it, together with the Municipality and Pinacoteca of Varallo and the Municipalities of Novara and Vercelli.
