Hotel Helvetia

Hotel Helvetia is beautifully situated on the Baia del Silenzio (Bay of Silence) at Sestri Levante. It has been managed by the Familia Pernigotti for three generations. The property was purchased in 1926 by Ing. Umberto Pernigotti, the father of Lorenzo and his future wife, Mrs. Anselmi. In 1955, when Ing. Umberto died, Lorenzo transformed the property into a 32-room, 14-bath hotel that was host to guests from all over Europe. In time, Hotel Helvetia was equipped with a lift, a wonderful solarium terrace, and the rooms were reduced to 21. Each is now larger and all have a private bath and are equipped with full, modern comforts. A small, private beach was added, as well. In 2010, a terraced hydromassage pool was added. It has a beautiful sea view overlooking the Baia del Silenzio.
