The opening of Cracco in Galleria is not only a new endeavor in the career of Carlo
Cracco, but also his most ambitious project to date, explicitly aimed at restoring the
original role of the Galleria, built by Giuseppe Mengoni and inaugurated in 1877, as
“Milan’s Parlour”; obligatory and exciting meeting and observation spot, preferred by
Milanese people as well as anyone else who wishes to instantly sense the true atmosphere
of the city. A unique location that comprises a café, a restaurant, a wine cellar
and a private area dedicated to special occasions. The culinary offer of the Café will be
simplified, comprising less elaborate dishes for quicker and more informal lunches and
dinners. On the basement floor, the lacquered red walls and fir shelving of the wine cellar
house over 2000 labels and more than 10,000 bottles featuring an important selection of
Italian and French wines, intended for sale as well as tasting .
