ABBAYE NOTRE-DAME DE SÉNANQUE

Approaching from the winding mountain road, you have a spectacular view of the
Cistercian abbey surrounded by fields of lavender. This is an outstanding example of
monastic architecture, founded in 1148, and which boasts a beautiful dormitory and
church and a pretty cloister. Here, silence and peace reign over the surrounding natural
environment. The small shop of products made by the monks is well worth a visit.
