A LIFE: LAWRENCE FERLINGHETTI. BEAT GENERATION, RIBELLIONE, POESIA 07/10/2017 – 14/01/2018

The exhibition highlights the importance of the figure of Lawrence Ferlinghetti,
American poet, painter, publisher and cultural agitator of Brescia, in the
literary scene of the fifties and sixties, particularly within the Beat Generation
movement. The exhibition also wants to demonstrate how this literary current
has had a special follow-up in Italy thanks to Fernanda Pivano, and there are
also snapshots of Sottsass, some of them unpublished, photographs by Robert
Capa, Aldo Durazzi, Larry Keenan, Allen Ginsberg, Christopher Felver and
